Northeastern Illinois University Centers

El Centro

El Centro, one of the University’s locations, is the focal point for the Latino community and provides the general education program of the University to students who are interested in taking classes primarily during the evening hours and/or weekends.

Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies

Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies located on the South Side of Chicago offers Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Inner City Studies. Studies are interdisciplinary in the social sciences and humanities with an emphasis on ethnic and racial issues as they apply to basic urban studies.

University Center of Lake County

University Center of Lake County houses one of Northeastern’s Transfer Centers, which provides transfer students with the opportunity to complete coursework close to home. Undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Human Resource Development, Political Science, and Psychology are offered through this location.
