Learning Success Center/Center for Academic Writing (LSC/CAW) tutors are graduate and undergraduate students who are recommended by faculty and carefully selected on the basis of their own academic achievement and interpersonal communication skills. All tutors are trained, supervised, and supported in their role as tutors. Working as an LSC/CAW tutor is a wonderful opportunity for NEIU students to apply their knowledge and learning skills and make a difference by helping other students succeed academically at NEIU.
Tutors can be hired as Graduate Assistant Tutors, compensated with tuition waiver(s) and a stipend as managed by the College of Graduate Studies and Research, or as student aides or work study positions according to Student Employment's requirements and earning $15 an hour.
