This course is designed for students at the beginner level in learning American Sign Language (ASL). Understanding Deaf Culture is part of the learning in this course. Students learn and enhance their vocabulary as well as deepen their understanding of grammatical structure in ASL. Lessons and activities focus on opportunities that help with practice and enhance learning. The teacher provides all course-related materials; no book is needed for this course.

This eight-week course is for those who have completed the beginning American Sign Language with CAPE or have mastered ABC fingerspelling and one to 1,000. This is for anyone who is looking to take their basic signs and turn them into fun conversations. Taught by our very own Doug Lawson, in this interactive class, lessons and activities focus on opportunities that help with practice and enhance learning.
