Distance Education Program

To provide students accessibility and choice in class selection, Northeastern Illinois University offers some courses through our state-of-the-art Cisco Telepresence interactive audio/video network communications system. This is a real-time, two-way, concurrent instructional presentation system which is utilized between several of our locations/sites (including a site at University Center in Grayslake, Illinois).

This system allows many courses to be broadcast to one or more locations simultaneously allowing students and their professors to speak with each other as though they were in the same classroom. This option provides convenient choices for some students who wish to take courses at one of our sites closer to their home or place of employment.
