For People With Disabilities

The Ronald Williams Library is committed to making its resources available to all members of the NEIU community with equipment and services for people with disabilities.

Equipment

  • An HIMS Lifestyle HD Desktop Video Magnifier (Research and Publishing Lab, 1st floor)
  • MAGic screen magnification software (PC 16, 1st floor public terminals)

Services

Search help

Library staff can help patrons at the Ronald Williams Library search on the public terminals for books and articles, no appointment necessary.

However, if you require more than 15 minutes of help, please make an appointment with your subject librarian.

Book and magazine retrieval

Staff from the 1st floor Circulation Desk will retrieve items from the shelves for patrons with disabilities.

Copying materials

The Reference Desk on the 1st floor, when staffed, will provide help with photocopying. The costs will be charged to your NEIU debit account.
