Helping Students to the Finish Line
The NEIU Foundation partners with donors to build privately funded scholarships that can support Northeastern students for years to come. Our students work hard, balance full-time jobs with full-time classes, navigate new lands and cultures and raise their families, all while working to better their lives through education. With you - our alums, friends, neighbors, students and their families - students with academic abilities who demonstrate financial need are able to apply for scholarships that match their areas of study or their interests. In this way, we connect our donors' goals to our students' needs and break down barriers to student success!
Nearly 90 percent of Northeastern students receive some form of financial aid. Scholarships help to ease financial weight and allow our students to graduate with little to no debt. The Foundation offers nearly 190 scholarships, and almost all are open to all students, regardless of their citizenship status, culture, or other demographic.
These scholarships were created by alumni, parents, students, professors, staff, and others, motivated by memories of their loved ones or favorite University programs.

When an individual makes the powerful decision to create a perpetual endowment, or to create an annual gift of support for students, they have determined that this is the method by which they will express their passion, their gratitude, and their compassion.

When a student receives a scholarship, fellowship, or other support from donors to the NEIU Foundation, they are moved by the investment by those alums, families, students, faculty and staff and others who understand their potential and have made this investment in their future.
