Due to COVID-19, all auditions will be online.
Thank you for your patience as we navigate through this difficult time. In an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy, and in accordance with the NEIU restrictions, the April 2 Dance Scholarship Auditions will take place via virtual submission. We ask that each of you submit a YouTube audition video three minutes in length and send the link to your video to Dance Coordinator Jamie Cage, at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are unsure how to make the video, please view the tutorial video in the music section of this page.
Also, we will need the Scholarship Application filled out. You can print it out, scan and send it back, or just fill it out on the computer and return with your name typed as the signature. On your video, please state your name and what styles we will see you dance (1-3 styles). We understand spaces may be tighter than we wish, yet please make sure the camera angle allows the committee to see you properly in order to evaluate technique, etc.
Tips for a great video: Dress in clothes that allow you to move and allow the committee to see your shapes; make sure your environment is quiet and you can be undisturbed for your recording; and if you are using a phone, hold it horizontally. Video and application submission deadline is April 2, 2021.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and let me know how I can best help you. No one was expecting this craziness, so we will work together to make things work for you.
Thank you and best of luck!
