Dr. Angelina Pedroso

Dr. Angelina Pedroso arrived to Northeastern Illinois University (formerly known as Chicago Teachers College North) in the fall semester of 1965. During her 44-year tenure, she served as an instructor in the Department of World Languages (formerly known as Spanish Language and Hispanic Literatures). Dr. Pedroso is best remembered for the advocacy efforts and the mentoring she offered to hundreds of students as they navigated through their life at the University. She has held leadership roles on many institutional service initiatives including, but not limited to, Faculty Senate and the Faculty Council on Student Affairs. At the state and national level, Dr. Pedroso served as the chair of the Council of Faculties of the Illinois Board of Governors of State Colleges and Universities, a member of the board for the United Way, and as a trustee for the National Conference of Christians and Jews.

Dr. Pedroso was born in Havana, Cuba, where she attended Havana University Law School and earned a Doctor’s Degree in Civil and Criminal Law. In the United States she attended Chicago State University and Loyola University.

Fall and Spring Semesters (end of August - beginning of May)

9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Wednesday

Winter Break (mid-December - early January) and Summer Semester (beginning of May - end of August) 
9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
