Our mission is to provide high-quality, inclusive, and coordinated health services. We promote student success and wellness through culturally-sensitive direct service, education, advocacy, and outreach to the NEIU community. Our services help students succeed academically, contribute positively to their communities, and live meaningful lives.
All students pay a Student Health Service fee separate from health insurance; this covers all services, tests, medications, information, and materials provided by Student Health Services. The one exception to this is contraception; there is a minimal charge for birth control pills and emergency contraception. Condoms are always free.
Nurses can provide assessment, treatment, and follow-up for a wide range of complaints and problems. Use us as your first line of care; we may refer you to your physician if the situation cannot be fully dealt with in the Student Health Services Office. Our advanced practice nurse provides well-woman gynecological care as well as STD testing
Appointments, which can be easily scheduled online, are encouraged for both convenience and confidenitality.
Please visit the Appointment Scheduling page for instructions and to access the online appointment schedule.
All information received by our office is confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
