Northeastern’s Power Closet opened in Fall 2018 under the sponsorship of the Division of Student Affairs. The purpose of the Power Closet is to provide free business attire to students going on job interviews. The mission of the Power Closet is to help students look their best, so they can feel their best and confidently enter the workforce dressed for success.
The Power Closet is open to all Northeastern Illinois University students. Every student is eligible to take and keep up to a full outfit for their interview including:
- Top
- Slacks/skirt
- Jacket
- Accessories (shoes, tie, pantyhose, etc.)
Please note that since the Power Closet is supported by donations, we cannot guarantee the availability of all sizes and types of items.
To utilize the closet, students must:
- Schedule an appointment using the appointment calendar
- Provide proof of a job interview for Power Closet records (i.e. a copy of an email confirmation, application, letter of interview appointment, etc.)
- Provide their NEIU student ID card
