Housed in the Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) Center of Health, the Statistics Core is a grant-funded core resource that seeks to enhance research across NEIU by offering comprehensive statistical consultation, teaching and computational services to faculty, staff, and students across the NEIU community as well as trainees, coordinators and scholars from other institutions, agencies or companies. With access to a broad range of computer hardware, software and personnel, the Statistics Core can provide expert assistance with statistical studies. Our primary interest is in assuring appropriate use of statistical methodology in research but we also offer other services including database development and implementation to the production of material to support grant submissions, publications, reports and presentations. Improving the success of the study and meeting research objectives are our primary goals.

Research and Biostatistics Services

Research Design

Study, experiment, research, and instrument design. Methods consultation and review.  

Sampling 

Sampling procedures. Data collection including phone-based, web-administered surveys and scanned forms.  

Power Calculations

Expert Programming Planning and implementation of statistical analysis.  

Statistical Analysis

Basic descriptive statistics to database management to complex analysis that includes: mixed designs, multilevel, structural equation modeling.
