Student Counseling Services offer an experiential meditation session at 12:10 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays via Google Hangouts.
You will learn and practice how to relax your body and calm your mind through:
- Gentle body movement
- Breathing techniques
- Guided meditation
- Silent meditation
Who is eligible?
NEIU faculty, staff and students are all eligible to attend meditation sessions.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org from your NEIU email address requesting to be added to the list. We will then send you a calendar invite with a link to join the meeting.
Do I need prior meditation experience?
All levels of experience are welcome.
How long does the session last?
Each session lasts about 40-45 minutes.
Do I need to attend every week?
You are welcome to attend a session anytime you would like.
What should I wear?
No special clothing is necessary. Everyday attire is fine as long as it allows you to do gentle stretching exercises.
