If you are a veteran who has been honorably discharged and served at least one year on active duty or in the guard/reserve, you are eligible to receive four credit hours. To receive these credits, please submit Member 4 of your DD214 to the Admissions Processing Office when you apply for admission.

You may also receive credit for United States Armed Forces Institute (USAFI) courses. This applies to courses for which the American Council on Education recommends credit at the baccalaureate level, provided you have successfully passed the appropriate USAFI end-of-course test or examination.

If you've completed service schools, you can request an evaluation for academic credit. To grant credit for service/school training, we'll need your official transcripts. These transcripts are free for all eligible soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen.

Once you have your transcripts, please file the Request for Evaluation form, which is available in Enrollment Management Services on the Main Campus, Building D, Room D 101).

Your student records are kept for three years following the end date of the last period certified by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Records will only be kept longer than this three-year period if a written request is received from Veterans Affairs or the General Accounting Office 30 or more days before the end of the three-year period. This requirement is outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (38 CFR 21.4209(f)).
