Writing Tutoring

ASC provides free, peer-led writing support for all NEIU students.

Students are encouraged to work with Writing Tutors frequently and throughout the writing process to develop strong academic writing skills. Writing Tutors work with students one-on-one to develop their skills across the writing process. Writing Tutors do not check, proofread, or edit student work. Rather, they work collaboratively with students to improve all aspects of their writing and provide strategies and resources.

Appointments are strongly encouraged.

ASC Writing tutors are also available to students admitted to NEIU who are preparing to take the NEIU English Placement Tests. Contact ASC to make an appointment!  

All appointment times are available for in-person or online sessions with a tutor.

Fall 2026

Appointments are strongly encouraged! All tutor appointment times are available to students in person in the Ronald Williams Library on the main campus or online via Google Meet. Tutor availability will differ depending on the type of tutoring offered.
