Learning Strategies Support

To be successful, college students need skills related to learning and time management. ASC has tutors who can help students improve skills such as time management, project management, note taking, reading tips, study cycle planning, etc. Working with a tutor is a good way to improve study and learning skills that can help you be successful.

All appointment times are available for in-person or online sessions with a tutor. 

Join us for Power Hour! 

The Academic Support Center (ASC) invites all NEIU students to join us for Power Hours.

Power Hours help students with their productivity and time management by providing a time and place to be focused and motivated. Overcome task paralysis and use the time to focus on homework, organize your notes, review for your next class or spend time on that essay assignment.

Power Hours are held in person in ASC on the fourth floor of the Ronald Williams Library. An ASC tutor will be present to welcome students and provide general help. Students are invited to make appointments for Power Hours. 

Mondays: 4:00 p.m.
Tuesdays: 6:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 10:30 a.m.
Thursdays: 3:00 p.m.
Fridays: 10:00 a.m.
