Summer Cool for rising 5th, 6th and 7th graders

The Artisans Summer Camp for Ages 5-12
Week I June 18-22
Week II June 25-29

10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Offer your child a real artisans workshop experience this summer. Each day will result in a completed take-home project that will be used and enjoyed. Every workshop will include a brief lesson in the history of the artist or artwork that will inspire the day's session. And every project will reflect your child's individuality and creativity.

Summer Sampler Dance Camp for Ages 8-12
July 9-12, 2018; 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
This camp is designed to give young dancers experiences in a variety of dance styles and creative opportunities. 

Summer Band Camp (Day Camp)
July 22-27
The NEIU Department of Music and Dance will be hosting their first annual band camp this summer. NEIU faculty, staff, students and alumni will be working together to provide a week-long day camp with a spectacular experience. The camp will be for woodwind brass, and percussion players that are rising high-school freshmen through rising seniors. Students of all abilities will have an opportunity to develop their skills through the different classes offered. Spend a week with us this summer for an unforgettable musical adventure.

Musical Theater Workshop for Ages 12-18
July 23, 25, 27; 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
A workshop for confident movers (some previous dance/theater experience required) exploring dance steps for theater, as well as exploring expression and different characters through movement.  

Community Music Program
The Community Music Program (CMP) at Northeastern Illinois University offers weekly private lessons in piano, voice, strings, woodwinds, brass, guitar (classical, acoustic, electric) and percussion. The CMP instructors include Junior Faculty (NEIU undergraduate and graduate students), Senior Faculty (professionals) and Artist Faculty (NEIU full-time faculty artists or special guest artists). Lessons are offered in 30-, 45- and 60-minute increments, and students sign up for the entire session offered. New private lesson students, please fill out this form first.
