Brass Roots Trio

Now in its 17th year, Northeastern Illinois University’s Jewel Box Series returns for the 2016-17 season with a new lineup of stellar entertainment. The series brings renowned artists from around the world to perform in Northeastern’s acoustically superior Recital Hall and spacious Auditorium.

The eight-concert series will begin Friday, Sept. 16, and offers music from a variety of genres through April 21, 2017.

“The Office of Cultural Events is thrilled to announce the artists in the 2016-17 Jewel Box Series. This is the first season we have incorporated a full dance concert into the series,” Office of Cultural Events Director Christie Miller said. “We also love to highlight our own Northeastern faculty members whenever possible and this year will present Travis Heath's ensemble, the Brass Roots Trio, as well as Jaime Gorgojo in concert with Corky Siegel's Chamber Blues.”

Tickets are $5, $17.50 and $25, and will be available online beginning July 1. Four- and eight-concert subscriptions are also available at the NEIU Information Center and Box Office or by calling (773) 442-4636.
