Attending Northeastern was a pivotal decision for me. The smaller class sizes fostered meaningful interactions with professors, allowing me to build valuable professional connections. This supportive community has contributed to my sense of belonging and the friendships I have formed here resemble familial bonds, while the faculty have evolved into invaluable mentors. NEIU has truly become a second home.

NEIU has equipped me with invaluable resources to support my academic journey. I have had the opportunity to participate in both the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program and the McNair Scholars program, both of which have significantly contributed to my personal and academic growth.
The assistance I have received from the Learning Success Center has been instrumental, as well. They have provided support in preparing for my classes and deepening my understanding of various subjects. Their ongoing commitment to being helpful and approachable is greatly appreciated!
Financial assistance available has also been so helpful. I have received many scholarships within the University. Without them, I would have been in a much tougher spot. These scholarships have greatly assisted me with my academic performance and mental health.

The experience at NEIU, with its distinctive and committed community, is so impactful that many individuals who become involved often feel inspired to give back to the University, with some choosing to pursue employment within the institution. As I look to the future, I aspire to work for the University, myself, and hope to encourage my children to attend NEIU as well.
