Ed.D. in Leadership, Equity and Inquiry Doctoral Program Launch Celebration

The Daniel L. Goodwin College of Education invited any individual to learn more about the official launch of the Ed.D. in Leadership, Equity and Inquiry doctoral program.

This special event unveiled the vision, curriculum, and mission of Northeastern Illinois University’s new doctoral program with opening remarks by Dr. Kamau Rashid, Professor, Founding Director of the Leadership, Equity and Inquiry Ed.D. Program.

A dynamic panel discussion with distinguished scholars and practitioners in educational leadership discussed the compelling theme of Bridging Theory and Practice: What Does It Mean to Be a Scholar-Practitioner?  The three dynamic panelists were 

  • Dr. Nicole Holland, Professor, Educational Foundations Program (GCOE); Masters in Community and Teacher Leaders Program (GCOE); African and African American Studies Program (CAS), Northeastern Illinois University
  • Dr. Gloria McDaniel Hall, Associate Professor of Educational Leadership, National College of Education, National Louis University
  • Dr. Natalie Neris, CEO and Principal Consultant, Roots and Reimagine Consulting Collective

The evening concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Gabriel Cortez, Director, ENLACE Leadership Institute; Professor, Literacy, Leadership, Development, & Special Education.
