A new Ed.D. Program in Leadership, Equity, & Inquiry prepares working professionals to address critical challenges within communities, schools, and other organizations. As scholar-practitioners, students engage in deep reflection on key problems of practice via an interdisciplinary curriculum rich in insights about leadership, Chicago, equity and processes of social change. Watch a recent May 2026 podcast with Dr. Kamau Rashid, the founding director of the program and a leading scholar in the areas of critical theory and community/youth development.

In Fall 2027, the Goodwin College of Education will have an exciting new facility that will house all of its classrooms, faculty, programs, and community clinics. The new building also will have computer labs, specialized learning spaces, and a very large conference space.
