The first week of the Spring 2021 semester is almost complete! This week ChicagoCHEC announced it received a multimillion-dollar grant and the Ask Me! Student Services Live Chat launched on Northeastern Illinois University’s website.
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has awarded a $17.7 million grant renewal to the Chicago Cancer Health Equity Collaborative (ChicagoCHEC). The five-year grant will help three Chicago universities enhance their partnerships in many of the city’s underserved communities, and strengthen their efforts to foster meaningful cancer research, education, training and outreach.
Northeastern Illinois University is gearing up for the Spring 2021 semester, which starts Jan. 11. As the University prepares for continued remote and online teaching and learning, it has signed an online quality assurance agreement.
Northeastern Illinois University has joined the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), a collection of more than 2,100 colleges and universities committed to expanding students’ access to educational opportunities by providing more efficient, consistent and effective regulation of online learning programs. Joining SARA is voluntary, and participating institutions agree to follow the Interregional Guidelines for the Evaluation of Distance Education Programs for best practices in postsecondary distance education.
Two Northeastern Illinois University sisters are getting national attention for their Etsy shop, an assistant professor co-created a pandemic-safe art exhibit, and the University earned a grant to support Rehabilitation Counseling students.
