Welcome to the NEIU Adventure Program
The NEIU Adventure Program is focused on providing Northeastern students and the greater Chicago community with a variety of adventure-based programming. The NEIU Adventure Program has a vast selection of experiences that can be tailored to any individual or group needs including indoor climbing and bouldering wall, indoor high ropes course, team-building sessions and outdoor trips.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Northeastern Illinois University Adventure Program is to provide educational and character development experiences which advance personal responsibility, health and well-being, community, leadership development and student success through adventure-based experiential education.
Gear Rental
The NEIU Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP) offers gear rentals to University students and staff who seek adventures of their own. We can supply tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads and backpacks for an affordable fee varying with gear selection and how long you plan on checking out gear. Remember that you are responsible for upkeep of gear and are liable for any damages that may occur.
Never pitched a tent? No problem! OAP staff are here to help guide you through proper use of all gear we offer for rentals. For more information or interest please contact campusrec@neiu.edu for details.
