An homage to the work of American postmodern artist Robert Rauschenberg, this colalge of love stories, quirky characters, and chicken jokes takes audiences on a journey through our wild and wacky American landscape. Like both the country and the artist, this poetic and energetic work by one of hte most exciting playwrights of our time is at turns hilarious, gentle, surprising, and disturbing. Featuring innovative scenic and projection design by Art Department chair Mark McKernin and collaborators, along with daring physical action, dance, and music, the production revels in the sheer exhiliaration of living in a country where people make up their lives as they go.
