Northeastern Illinois University associate professor Christina Ciecierski has been awarded a teaching grant from the Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program for 2014-15.

Ciecierski, who already is abroad for a few weeks of teaching, will teach courses in Health Economics and Intermediate Microeconomics during the spring semester at the Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw, Poland.

In recent years, Ciecierski has helped Northeastern host scholars from the Warsaw School of Economics and has team-taught courses with Polish faculty. This highly competitive and prestigious grant will allow her to build on existing relationships with the Warsaw School of Economics and build Northeastern’s capacity for teaching students at both institutions and in both locations.

The Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program provides approximately 800 grants in more than 125 countries each year for the support of teaching and research in a wide variety of programs.
