Welcome to Fall 2026!
Northeastern Illinois University is thrilled to welcome our students to campus with a series of events designed to create community, inspire school spirit and set students up for success this academic year. Unless an event is designed to accommodate a particular group of students (i.e. residents of The Nest) all currently enrolled Northeastern students are welcome to join in the fun! The majority of events will take place on the Main Campus.

Monday, Aug. 24
NPB I Love Monday
3:00 p.m. — Village Square
Stop by the Northeastern Programming Board table and get some free school supplies while they last
Tuesday, August 25
Popping Up with Career Development
10:00 - 2:00 p.m. — B 119 Hallway
Come check out our Career Development Open House and see what our office is all about. Grab some free popcorn, meet the staff, and learn how we can support you down the road. It's a casual, no-pressure way to find out about the services we offer.
Clowning around with Student Leadership Development (SLD) and Student Health Services (SHS)
10:00 - 2:00 p.m. — Village Square
Come enjoy FREE food, get your face painted with colorful designs, meet a friendly clown, and take home a FREE balloon creation!
Wednesday, Aug. 26
SLD Game Night
5:00 - 7:00 p.m. — Alumni Hall
Join Student Leadership Development (SLD) for a fun-filled Game Night featuring Bingo, prizes, and opportunities to connect with fellow students!
Thursday, Aug. 27
Bubble Soccer Game
1:00 - 5:00 p.m. — University Commons (Quad)
Get ready to bump, laugh, and compete at SLD Bubble Soccer! Students will team up for a fun and energetic soccer experience where players wear giant inflatable bubbles while trying to score goals.

Move and Groove with Health Services- Hip Hop Dance Open Class with DC Wray and DanceWerks
Learn new moves, exercise, or just have fun. Dylan Wray is a dance instructor and choreographer from Old Town School of Folk Music in Lincoln Square
On Wednesdays 5:30pm - 6:30pm Camus Recreation Dance Studio. Starting Wednesday, September 2 through Wednesday, October 14. Wear soft sole shoes only.

First Thursday Freshman Meetup

Meet new friends, play fun games, enjoy snacks, and get to know your classmates
NPB Movie Night
7:00 - 9:00 p.m. — University Commons (Quad)
Relax, unwind, and enjoy a fun night with your fellow students at a NEIU Programming Board Movie Night! Grab some popcorn, bring your friends, and enjoy a great film while connecting with the campus community.
Campus Recreation Kickoff
12:00 - 3:00 p.m. - University Commons
Join Campus Recreation for lawn games and volleyball, and learn what we have to offer including club sports, recreation, and fitness activities!
