Relax with Student Health Services
With the weight of finals looming, it's hard to focus on studying when you're also grappling with the pressure of world events, political tensions, and personal challenges that seem to pile on every day. Come take a break during our Stress Free Zone events! The University community has come together to offer you multiple ways to relax and recharge before the semester ends. Join us for art activities, games, food and a spa day!

Previous Stress Free Zone Activities
- Creative Escape: We hosted Creative Escape in partnership with Student Counseling Services, providing students with a welcoming space to take a break and explore creative outlets such as diamond art, canvas painting, t-shirt decals, and bracelet making. The event encouraged students to use creativity as a way to manage stress and anxiety while connecting with others in a relaxed environment.
- Star Wars Paint and Sip: We partnered with El Centro to celebrate May the 4th with a Star Wars-themed paint and sip. Students had the opportunity to get creative, socialize, and take a break from their academic responsibilities in a fun and engaging environment.
- Breakfast for Lunch, Yoga & Puppies: We hosted a wellness event that brought together nutritious food, movement, creative activities, and puppy therapy to help students recharge and practice self-care. Students enjoyed breakfast favorites, participated in de-stressing yoga, decorated ceremonial teacups, spent time with therapy puppies, and connected with friends.
- Rec Recess: We partnered with Campus Recreation to give students an opportunity to step away from their busy schedules and enjoy some fun outdoors. Students participated in a rotating lineup of tailgate and backyard games while connecting with friends and taking a much-needed break.
- Body Double: We partnered with Student Counseling Services to offer students a virtual body-doubling space during finals preparation. This activity provided students with a supportive environment where they could work alongside others, stay accountable, and improve focus and productivity.
- Pamper Party: We partnered with Student Counseling Services to give students an opportunity to prioritize self-care through a variety of relaxing activities. Students enjoyed spa therapy, foot massages, massage chairs, snacks, and refreshments while taking time to unwind and recharge.
