Weeks of Welcome
Welcome to Fall 2026!
Northeastern Illinois University is thrilled to welcome our students to campus with a series of events designed to create community, inspire school spirit and set students up for success this academic year. Unless an event is designed to accommodate a particular group of students (i.e. residents of The Nest) all currently enrolled Northeastern students are welcome to join in the fun! The majority of events will take place on the Main Campus.
Week 1: Aug. 24 - 28
Monday, Aug. 24
NPB I Love Monday
3:00 p.m. — Village Square
Stop by the Northeastern Programming Board table and get some free school supplies while they last.
Tuesday, August 25
Clowning around with Student Leadership Development (SLD) and Student Health Services (SHS)
10:00 - 2:00 p.m. - Village Square
Come enjoy FREE food, get your face painted with colorful designs, meet a friendly clown, and take home a FREE balloon creation!
Wednesday, Aug. 26
SLD Game Night
5:00 - 7:00 p.m.-Alumni Hall
Join Student Leadership Development (SLD) for a fun-filled Game Night featuring Bingo, prizes, and opportunities to connect with fellow students!
Thursday, Aug. 27
Bubble Soccer Game
1:00 - 5:00 p.m. — University Commons (Quad)
Get ready to bump, laugh, and compete at SLD Bubble Soccer! Students will team up for a fun and energetic soccer experience where players wear giant inflatable bubbles while trying to score goals.

SLD Student Organization Fair
Noon - 4:00 p.m. — University Commons (Quad)
Discover your campus vibe at the Org. Fair, where you can meet student organizations, make new friends, and dive into exciting activities!

NPB Movie Night
5:00 - 9:00 p.m. — University Commons (Quad)
Relax, unwind, and enjoy a fun night with your fellow students at a NEIU Programming Board Movie Night! Grab some popcorn, bring your friends, and enjoy a great film while connecting with the campus community.
