Paul Taylor 2 will perform Oct. 20 as part of Northeastern Illinois University’s Jewel Box Series. The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium on the Main Campus, 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. This performance is co-presented by the Ruth Page Dance Series. A free preview performance for students will take place at 11 a.m.

Paul Taylor established Taylor 2 in 1993 to ensure that audiences all over the world, unhindered by economic or technical limitations, could see his works. Taylor worked with longtime colleague Linda Hodes to create a company that could accommodate performance requests as well as teach and provide community outreach. Taylor looked back to the 1954 origins of the Paul Taylor Dance Company for the structure of his new company: six professionals with a particular gift for his style who perform his work throughout the world.

This performance is a part of the Jewel Box Series, an eight-concert professional performing arts series presented by Northeastern’s Office of Cultural Events.

Tickets are $25, $17.50 and $10 and can be purchased online or by calling (773) 442-4636. Parking permits are required.
