Northeastern Illinois University will participate in the Chicago Federal Reserve’s Money Smart Week from April 18-25. Money Smart Week is a public awareness campaign to promote financial literacy across all age groups.

Here is the schedule of events:

GeoCache for College Cash, April 20-23, Cafe Descartes in the Library

Beyond SURS: Securing Your Retirement in a Time of Pension Insecurity, 5 p.m. April 22, Library lower-level classroom (022)

Adequate planning for retirement takes more than SURS. Come learn about other options like an IRA, a 403(B) or a 457 account. And determine if they can help you achieve your retirement goal.

Student Shark Tank, 7 p.m. April 23, Student Union 214

Listen to students make their “pitch to get rich” before a panel of judges for the possibility of winning prizes and personalized consulting from Northeastern’s business faculty.
