Federal Grants

Federal Pell Grant (Undergraduate)

The Federal Pell Grant eligibility is determined by the completion of the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. Students with an Expected Family Contribution or EFC of 5,000 or less are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant. Students must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen and accepted into a degree seeking program. The amount of Federal Pell Grant funds a student may receive over his or her lifetime is limited by a new federal law to be the equivalent of six years of Pell Grant funding. Since the maximum amount of Pell Grant funding a student can receive each year is equal to 100%, the six-year equivalent is 600% (or six years, full-time).

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (Undergraduate)

The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant or FSEOG is a need-based grant for students accepted into a degree seeking program and who have completed the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. Students must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. Generally students who are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant and who complete their FAFSA by the University priority file date are eligible for the FSEOG. Half-time enrollment required.

Federal Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (Undergraduate and Graduate)
