Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity Scholarship

ECACE

Northeastern Illinois University is pleased to participate in the Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity (ECACE). This statewide consortium provides scholarships to NEIU Early Childhood Education majors who are currently working or who have worked in position such as teacher, assistant or director in early childhood centers, schools and homes and pledge to work in Illinois after the completion of their program. The scholarships can be applied towards tuition but also costs such as room and board, books and supplies.

This scholarship is available to freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors who are declared Early Childhood majors. Students who previously received an ECACE Scholarship will receive priority consideration, as will students with high financial need. The scholarship amount must not exceed cost of attendance for an academic year up to $7,500.

The priority application consideration deadline is May 31. Applications received after May 31 are considered only if funding is still available after awarding timely eligible applicants.
