Assistant Professor of Music - Vocal Faculty

POSITION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The Department of Music invites applications for a full-time tenure-track soprano, mezzo soprano, or alto assistant professor with an earned doctorate in music to begin August 2016. Teaching duties include teaching private voice to undergraduate voice majors, minors and graduate students in the Master of Arts in Applied Music Pedagogy Program. Duties may also include teaching vocal pedagogy and vocal repertoire, diction, and other courses to meet departmental need. Candidates will evidence outstanding accomplishment, knowledge, and skill in performance, voice teaching and vocal health, and a comprehensive knowledge of standard vocal literature.  Previous university teaching experience is highly desirable, as is a demonstrated interest in voice science/Vocology. Service to the department, university, community, and profession is expected.
