POSITION and qualifications:
Tenure-track assistant professor with specialization in Trans-Atlantic Literatures in Global Context. The English Department seeks to hire a cultural studies scholar with the desire and proven ability to develop interdisciplinary courses that cross-fertilize with a range of other disciplines such as economics, global studies, environmental sciences, health sciences, and others in ways that prepare students for the professional world. The successful candidate will have experience teaching traditional courses and periods in U.S. and British literature at the undergraduate and graduate level, including survey courses,an introductory disciplinary writing course, as well as a range of creative and critical courses developed from an interdisciplinary cultural studies perspective, which might include specialized writing courses at all levels. PhD required.
