Library Search Tool (Primo VE)

The library search tool Primo VE allows you to search for books, magazines, DVDs, and other items at the Libraries. While this tool is available to anyone, access to materials is restricted to in-building use only for visitors.

NEIU librarians created these research guides to help you in your research. Most guides include links to free, scholarly websites. Organized by subject.

Illinois Regional Archival Depository (IRAD)

IRAD holds primary source documents on Chicago municipal government as well as genealogical information for Cook County. Located on the Lower Level of the Library. Contact (773) 442-4506 or ext. 4506 with questions.

Students and Faculty from Other Universities

I-Share members

Check to see if your college or university is a member of I-Share. If so, you may borrow books and other materials from the NEIU Library by presenting your school ID card.

Members of other, non-I-Share universities

Students and faculty who are not affiliated with an I-Share college or university are encouraged to visit the NEIU Library.
