Josef Ben Levi is an instructor at Northeastern Illinois University teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Philosophy, History, and Inner City Studies Education. He is a 1978 graduate of Northeastern Illinois University with a Master of Arts in Inner City Studies Education. He is a scholar of classical Near Eastern/Mediterranean history and African/African-American history, with a focus on ancient philosophy, ethics, critical thinking, and both ancient Biblical and Gnostic literature. He received his doctorate from National-Louis University and has lectured widely in his fields of interest.
