The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has awarded $25 million over five years to DOE’s Argonne National Laboratory and a team of academic and community leaders, which includes Northeastern Illinois University, to advance urban climate science by studying climate change effects at local and regional scales.

Northeastern to offer tuition and fee waivers for Afghan refugees for the 2021-2022 academic year

Northeastern Illinois University will offer qualified Afghan refugees who settle in Chicago or nearby areas the opportunity to attend Northeastern through University-sponsored discretionary waivers that will cover the cost of tuition and fees for 12 credit hours in the current academic year. The initiative will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 15 continuing and prospective students.
