Research lead by Northeastern Illinois University Assistant Professor of Biology Beth Reinke provides first comprehensive evidence that turtles in the wild age slowly and have long lifespans, shows highly variable rates of aging across reptiles and amphibians, and identifies several species that essentially do not age.
Northeastern Illinois University has entered into a formal partnership with Hope Chicago, a nonprofit organization seeking to reduce economic and social inequity by funding postsecondary scholarships and non-tuition costs for Chicago Public Schools graduates and their adult family members eager to return to school and update their skills.
