B.A., Northeastern Illinois University, Liberal Arts

Background

Although his M.A. degree is in History, and he occasionally can be found teaching Public Speaking, Introduction to Communication, or the like in the Communication, Media, and Theatre Department, Jeff’s main job on campus is here.

A Chicago area native, in a previous life Jeff was a working musician as well (violin), performing extensively with orchestras including the Elgin Symphony, the Southwest Michigan Symphony, and the Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra. Other orchestra experience includes the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, the Tulsa Symphony, and the Traverse City Symphony Orchestra. He also served as Concertmaster of the Lakeshore Symphony Orchestra and was a member of several local bands.

Jeff has worked in four different divisions of the university and his vast experience makes him a valuable resource for staff, faculty, and most especially--students. Jeff’s office door is always open, and he is happy to assist anyone who comes by. Stop by. Say, “Hi!”
