Spearheaded by the College of Arts and Sciences, Northeastern’s sponsorship includes opportunities to raise awareness of the University by partnering with the Chicago Sky. 

Cortes is one of 45 fellows from Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) and Emerging HSIs chosen for the one-year program.

The Inauguration Ceremony was part of a three-day celebration to welcome the University's eighth president. 

 Katrina E. Bell-Jordan, Ph.D., will be inaugurated as the University’s eighth president on Oct. 4. Celebratory activities will be held Oct. 3-5.

A series of events throughout the 2024-2025 academic year will commemorate a decade of the El Centro building being open for NEIU and the communities it serves.
