After an extensive national search, Northeastern Illinois University has named Kimberley Buster-Williams as its new Vice President for Enrollment Management. She will start on Jan. 3.

Northeastern’s University President gives a State of the University Address each year. This year’s Address is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 26 and will take place both in person and via livestream! For the second year in a row, Northeastern Illinois University’s Golden Gala and Alumni Awards Ceremony is going virtual! Everyone is invited to join the celebration honoring four alumni and a current student for their contributions to their communities, and place bids in an online auction for items, including trips and tours. Noteworthy at Northeastern: Creating a more equitable society

Northeastern Illinois University is pleased to welcome its new Executive Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Dr. Shireen Roshanravan. NEIU is also excited to announce a new partnership with four other Illinois schools to create a more diverse and equitable data science workforce through the Metropolitan Chicago Data-science Corps. Northeastern Illinois University is one of five Illinois schools to partner in the establishment of the Metropolitan Chicago Data-science Corps (MCDC) to help meet the data science needs of the Chicago metropolitan area.

Dr. Shireen Roshanravan was named Northeastern Illinois University’s first Executive Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and began serving the University in this capacity in July 2021.
