Mass shootings are contagious.
That was the headline-grabbing conclusion of a research project that Maryam Khan began working on when she was a senior at Northeastern Illinois University. Almost as soon as the paper was published by PLoS ONE journal in July 2015, lead researcher Sherry Towers’ phone began to ring with calls from news outlets such as NBC, NPR and The Washington Post.
Northeastern to host Ali Gheissari, Ph.D., for 10th Annual Mossadegh Servant Leadership Lecture
Northeastern Illinois University is proud to welcome Ali Gheissari, Ph.D. as the keynote speaker for the 10th Annual Mossadegh Servant Leadership Lecture. His talk, titled, “Constitutional Experience and Travails of Parliamentarism and Governance in 20th century Iran: Retrospectives on Mossadegh and the National Movement,” will be delivered twice on Thursday, April 25 on the Main Campus, 5500 N. St. Louis Ave. in Chicago, with receptions to follow.
