Northeastern Illinois University’s Offices of Alumni Relations and Career Development have partnered together to offer the Braven Career Booster program to bachelor’s degree recipients from the Class of 2020. The Braven Career Booster is a two-week virtual boot camp that is designed to help recent graduates brush up on job readiness skills including building a strong résumé and LinkedIn profile, gain an understanding of the challenging job market, map our plans to launch their professional careers, and develop soft skills. Additional benefits include access to a network of professionals and peers, a one-on-one coaching session and more.

“We are deeply appreciative of the support being provided by the Crown Family Philanthropies so that we can offer this resource,” said Kris Pierre, Director of Career Development and Community Partnerships. “It is an incredible opportunity for our recent graduates who are dealing with a challenging job market.”

The program is being offered for free thanks to generous support from the Crown Family Philanthropies in recognition of the shifting labor market in Chicago.

“We want to do everything we can to help our recent alumni be prepared to land a job worthy of their degree given Northeastern’s history of supporting the upward social mobility of our students,” Director of Alumni Relations Damaris Tapia said.

Alumni from the Class of 2020 are encouraged to sign up for the Braven Career Booster program.
