Explore contemporary art and archival materials from NEIU’s testimony archive, community collections, and national archives. The exhibition traces the history of the Japanese American Redress Movement and shares the stories of those who fought for justice.

Join us as we commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Commission on Wartime Relocation and Internment of Civilians hearings and celebrate the public launch of Reckoning with Redress.

The evening will also feature:

  • An interactive showcase of the Activating the Archives game and digital story map
  • A keynote address
  • Enough, a short docudrama recreating the 1981 hearings
  • Reckoning, a short documentary exploring the Redress Movement and the creation of the project
