Noteworthy at Northeastern: NEIU For You

At Northeastern Illinois University, we break barriers. Our latest initiative, NEIU For You, breaks a financial barrier by offering first-year, full-time undergraduate students a scholarship to cover tuition and mandatory fees for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022! It also covers the cost of a three credit hour course for all new undergraduate transfer students who register for six credit hours or more for Fall 2021. Noteworthy at Northeastern: STEM-sational!

Northeastern Illinois University students presented research at the Illinois Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (Illinois LSAMP) and eight earned awards for their research! Womxn’s HERstory Month wraps up, the Department of Student Success and Retention hosts their first Spring into NEIU: Transfer Student Survival Guide event and several more virtual activities are scheduled. Northeastern Illinois University joins online learning quality assurance agreement

Northeastern Illinois University has joined the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), a collection of more than 2,100 colleges and universities committed to expanding students’ access to educational opportunities by providing more efficient, consistent and effective regulation of online learning programs. Joining SARA is voluntary, and participating institutions agree to follow the Interregional Guidelines for the Evaluation of Distance Education Programs for best practices in postsecondary distance education.
