Northeastern Illinois University has selected Professor of Accounting Alireza “Reza” Dorestani as the 2021 recipient of the Audrey Reynolds Distinguished Teaching Award.

Northeastern will host a series of virtual Commencement ceremonies on May 9 to honor its Spring 2021 graduates. Northeastern Illinois University is allowing Heartland Health Centers to utilize part of its Physical Education Complex to provide COVID-19 vaccinations for its current 27,000 patients, many of whom live on the North and Northwest sides of Chicago.

In September 1980, less than two years after Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Iraq invaded Iran and began a war that lasted for nearly a decade. The war hasn’t received much academic attention, and the role of women in the war hasn’t been discussed until now.
