Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining University facilities and grounds in a safe, functional, attractive and cost effective manner. Facilities day-to-day operations, as well as long term planning, are handled through this department. In addition, all aspects of the heating plant and construction are also managed by Facilities Management.
Administrative Services
The Administrative Services Department provides general administrative and financial services support to all areas, fiscal management for the university's utility accounts, serves as a centralized message and referral center, and receives all Service Requests The department can be reached at (773) 442-5240.
Heating plant
The Heating Plant Department operates and maintains the heating, ventilating, cooling, electric cogeneration and water distribution systems, and monitors the University's consumption of utilities. Engineers are available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The department can be reached at (773) 442-5239.
Building Maintenance
The Building Maintenance Department provides carpentry, electrical, locksmith, and sign-making services to the University.
Janitorial Services
The Janitorial Department maintains a clean and sanitary environment for the University community which maximizes the usable life of facilities and contributes to a reduction in overall costs of maintenance and replacement.
