Biology Department VIRTUAL Advising

Gain advice about course registration, declaring the major/minor, requirements for graduation, and career possibilities. 

Fill out the Biology Advising Check-In Form to receive advising during the following times. A faculty advisor will contact you by the method of your choice (e.g. Phone or Google Meet). 

  • 10 a.m.-noon Monday
  • 1-3 p.m. Tuesday
  • 4-6 p.m. Wednesday
  • Noon-2 p.m. Friday

Student Center for Science Engagement (SCSE)

Just a quick reminder that the SCSE advisors are still available for appointments. Students can meet with advisors virtually using Google Hangouts or over the phone to discuss any of the following topics:

  • Reviewing personal statements for graduate school, internships or summer research opportunities
  • Discussing graduate school preparation
  • Job search strategies for the STEM fields including resume revision and drafting cover letters
  • Virtual interview preparation or virtual mock interviews
  • STEM career exploration
  • Guidance in selecting a major in the STEM fields
