Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theatre, in residence at Northeastern Illinois University, will present its critically acclaimed Concierto Navideño holiday concert on Dec. 9, 10 and 12.

The performances will take place in the Auditorium on the main campus, 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Chicago.

Concert highlights include favorites and masterworks from the Ensemble’s repertoire of classical, folkloric and Flamenco dances, Spanish music, and four never-before-seen pieces, including Pas de Deux Flamenco, featuring principal company dancers and choreographers; and Deshojando Flores set to the music of Vicente Amigo, one of Spain’s revered Flamenco guitarists.

Ensemble Español will be joined by 20 dancers from its youth company and the Ortegon School of Music Choir.

Tickets for Concierto Navideño are $15, $20 and $25.
