Research Interests
Neva Sills’ painted collages explore interactions between people and the natural world. Representation and abstraction play with the understanding of nature and identity as constructed ideas rather than concrete realities. Sills’ current work in ceramic expands on this by looking at standards of femininity, its historical link to nature, and the decorative.
