Comprehensive and holistic advising for adult students. Components of the advising process include a student-directed conversation around course selection and planning, time-to-degree, navigating the University, accessing resources, balancing work and life responsibilities, graduate school selection and application, and expectations around communication styles and modes within academia. Current research and creative interests include: writing, visual culture, contemporary poetry, semantics and semiotics.

Background

Sean is a lifelong Chicagoan and proud graduate of both City Colleges of Chicago and Northeastern Illinois University. In addition to teaching in the Nontraditional Degree Program at NEIU, Sean also has worked on several productions for NEIU's Stage Center Theatre. Further, he works at Wright College in Academic Support Services and in the Performing Arts Department, where he teaches the Fundamentals of Speech Communication.
